Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bastyn Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Oketch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall comes to the cage accompanied by Beast. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oketch throws a lazy uppercut
and Dall counters with an outside leg kick.
A big right from Dall misses.
Dall lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Dall lands a nice looking body shot.
Dall moves out of range of the body kick from Oketch.
Dall just misses with a punch to the body.
Oketch thows a leg kick but Dall checks it
and Dall counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dall throws a body punch but Oketch moves out of range.
Oketch lands with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dall scores with a hook.
Oketch wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Dall lands a nice looking body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oketch throws an overhand right that lands on Dall's shoulder, as Dall tries to avoid the shot.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Dall.

Dall buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dall is looking to wear down Oketch with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Dall lands a leg kick that knocks Oketch off balance momentarily.
Dall throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Oketch stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oketch lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dall at a distance.
Dall pushes Oketch away with a front kick.
Dall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dall walks into a stiff left hand from Oketch.
A good leg kick by Dall.
Dall misses with a wild body shot.
Dall ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Oketch moves out of range of the body kick.

Dall was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dall ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Oketch takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Oketch throws a front kick that sends Dall stumbling back into the cage.
Bastyn Dall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oketch closes the distance and clinches up with Dall, looking for a takedown. Oketch pushes Dall against the cage but Dall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dall is looking to counter punch.
A swing and a miss from Dall.

and Oketch counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Oketch checks a low kick from Dall.
Oketch goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Oketch dives in and grabs Dall's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dall pushes down on Oketch's head and hops out.
Dall scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Dall throws a body punch but Oketch moves out of range.

and Oketch decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dall's guard.

Oketch controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Oketch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dall works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

My spies in DJs Locker inform me that Oketch has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Oketch trying to control the position from guard on top but Dall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oketch with a flurry of punches that miss.
Oketch slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oketch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dall is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Oketch has his hands clasped together but Dall extends and breaks Oketch's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dall.

After winning the bout, Bastyn Dall thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
