And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hays uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Miller.

Miller shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hays's guard.
Hays tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hays has momentary wrist control but Miller slips an elbow through the middle.
Miller pushing down on Hays's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Miller looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hays with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Miller is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Hays flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller working over Hays with some ground and pound. Hays looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Hays wants to control but Miller is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller lands with a punch from half guard.
Hays is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hays is trying to control but can't.

Miller is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Hays wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Miller in particular looking to stall.
Miller passes to full mount!
Miller controlling the position easily from mount.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hays is looking to get to half guard.
Miller manages to capitalize on a mistake by Hays to take his back!

Hays tries to get to his feet, scrambling wildly. Miller sees the opportunity and transitions to an armbar that forces Hays to tap. Impressive finish!

Jacob Miller decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
