Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Motts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Magolis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Motts will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Motts tries to land a front kick but Magolis steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Magolis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Motts as he jumps to the side.
Magolis throws out a loose jab but Motts uses good head movement to avoid it.
Motts misses the shot to the body.
A shot to the body from Motts misses
and Magolis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Magolis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
It looked like Motts wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A good leg kick by Magolis.

Motts gets a takedown into half guard.
Magolis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Magolis wants to get back to full guard but Motts has passed into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Motts is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
You can see the frustration on Magolis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Motts is putting a hurting on Magolis here, landing some big shots from side control.
Motts lands an elbow.
Motts connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Magolis some visible discomfort.
Motts lands some shots froms side control.

Magolis is rocked!

It looks like Peter Magolis has been cut.
Magolis wants to control but Motts postures up.
Magolis is still in real trouble! Can Motts finish him?
Motts in side control lands a decent elbow.
Magolis tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Motts controlling from mount.
Motts has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Magolis is desperately trying to improve his position but Motts has a good base and remains in mount.

Motts putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Magolis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Motts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Motts looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Magolis covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Mark Motts was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
