Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Morin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eilert De Vries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Vries cracks Morin with a good jab.
De Vries lands a nice hook to Morin's body. Morin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

De Vries moves into range and clinches up with Morin.

De Vries wants the takedown. Morin is fighting it off but De Vries persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Morin's guard against the cage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

De Vries shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Morin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
De Vries takes a little break here. Morin wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that De Vries has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
