PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jallu Pesonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Froyo Hoyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pesonen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is DJ Orkidea - Joutsenlaulu. Hoyo has chosen Bad to the bone as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jallu Pesonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Froyo Hoyo!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Pesonen.
Hoyo blocks a jab.
Hoyo only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Pesonen throws a leg kick that misses.
Pesonen moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Pesonen throws a big shot that misses.

Hoyo closes the distance and pushes Pesonen back into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Pesonen's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hoyo blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hoyo doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hoyo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pesonen is trying to break the clinch but Hoyo is controlling him.
Hoyo lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Pesonen is trying to force a seperation but Hoyo has the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pesonen manages to pull guard.

Hoyo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pesonen to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hoyo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pesonen pulls down on the head and he's put Hoyo to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jallu Pesonen!
After the fight, Jallu Pesonen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
