Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tomy Faspred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Marques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Marques's choice of entrance music: Raining Blood. Tomy Faspred has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomy Faspred!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Billy Marques!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marques lands a jab to the head.
Faspred misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Faspred tries to clinch but Marques moves away
and Marques counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A jab from Marques does it's job there.
Marques connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Faspred's hands.

Faspred gets a clinch.
Marques wants to break the clinch but can't.

Marques manages to break the clinch.
Marques fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Faspred looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Marques throws a big shot that misses.
Faspred with a lazy takedown attempt
and Marques counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Faspred walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marques misses with a body shot.
Faspred doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Marques throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Faspred avoids the body shot from Marques.

Marques smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Faspred fails in his attempt to clinch.

Faspred closes the distance and clinches.
Faspred goes for a takedown attempt but Marques pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomy Faspred. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marques throws a body punch but Faspred moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Marques. Those never looked like landing.
Marques pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Faspred wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Nice uppercut there from Marques.
Marques lunges at Faspred with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Faspred's hand.

Faspred clinches up against the cage.
Faspred tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Marques smiles and moves away.
Marques throws a good cross that connects.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Faspred on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Marques connects with a crisp jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Marques throws the left hand but Faspred avoids the punch easily.

Marques gets tackled into the cage by Faspred. Faspred maintains the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Marques has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Faspred goes for a takedown attempt but Marques pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Faspred fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A little jabbing left from Marques on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Marques misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Faspred dives in and grabs Marques's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marques pushes down on Faspred's head and hops out.
Marques lands a nice shot to the body.
Marques has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Marques scores with a jab. Faspred acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Marques scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Faspred doesn't seem bothered though.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Marques, as that shot connected.
Faspred gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Marques counters with a straight right hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marques scores with a one two! Faspred had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Marques scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Tomy Faspred seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marques jabs Faspred right on the nose. Faspred blinks but takes it well.
Faspred shoots for a takedown but Marques saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Marques feints a jab promting Faspred to slip. Marques then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Faspred slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

and Marques counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Faspred badly! He tries to strike back but Marques puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Faspred out cold! Oh man, Faspred will never hear the end of this one!
