PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Kiely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiely comes into the arena with Mouth For War blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 23 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Stevens!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiely throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stevens.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Eddie Kiely will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Stevens uses his free foot to push down on Kiely's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kiely.

Stevens jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kiely manages to avoid the submission attempt.
You can see the frustration on Kiely's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
