The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vurny, as that shot connected.
Easterly fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vurny lands a jab to the nose.
Easterly on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Vurny lands with a hook. Easterly tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Vurny connects with a looping right hand.

Easterly tries to clinch but Vurny moves out of range.

and Easterly takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Easterly shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vurny sprawls well. Vurny wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Easterly gets slowly back to his feet.

Easterly's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vurny connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Easterly scrambles back to his feet.
Vurny is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Easterly looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vurny is fending him off so far but Easterly persists. Nope, Vurny circles away and we're back to standing.

Vurny wants to control from the top but Easterly keeps moving.
Vurny is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Easterly is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Vurny displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Easterly.

Holden Easterly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
