Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bayden Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bayden Wood!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcus Lima!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood cracks Lima with an open hand slap.

Wood rushes Lima and presses him up against the cage.

Wood using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lima has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Wood is looking to control Lima's arms but Lima gets an underhook and turns him. Now Wood has his back to the cage.
Wood is pressed up against the cage. Lima has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wood down to the mat. Wood avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nice uppercut lands for Wood. That snapped Lima's head back.

Wood is looking to stand back up but Lima counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wood.

Lima is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wood is just riding it out for now. Lima eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lima is trying to control the action in half guard but Wood is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Lima thows a huge punch but Wood dodges it nicely.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lima on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Lima avoids the body shot from Wood.
And Lima tries to counter it with a takedown but Wood pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Wood scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lima in his tracks.

Lima takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Lima is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Wood still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Wood has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
