PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Khal Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riff Jetson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Stark might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gardenia by Kyuss. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jetson throws a chopping leg kick but Stark manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Stark was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Stark takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Stark lands with a slapping head kick.

Stark clinches.
Stark is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jetson is defending well for now.

Stark is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Stark is looking to advance position but Jetson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Jetson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stark is surviving well by controlling Jetson's body position as best he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jetson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Stark turns into him and now he's in Jetson's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jetson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stark defends it easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Khal Stark will probably get the nod.
