PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edgar Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves just misses with a punch to the body.
Reynolds thuds his right hand into Alves's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Alves swinging wildly here.
Alves takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Reynolds jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Reynolds scores with a jab to the jaw.
Alves misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Reynolds.
Alves on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Reynolds drops Alves with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Alves looks back up at him and smiles so Reynolds waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Alves is rocked!

It looks like Edgar Alves has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reynolds closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Alves! Reynolds dives in looking to finish! Alves is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
