Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffery Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Emsockem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeffery Sawyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rock Emsockem!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emsockem blocks a head kick by Sawyer.
Emsockem dives in for a single leg takedown but Sawyer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Emsockem darts in and clinches Sawyer up against the cage.
Emsockem creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Emsockem pulls guard effortlessly.
Sawyer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Emsockem pushes Sawyer off and gets back to his feet.

Sawyer closes the distance and pushes Emsockem back into the cage.
Emsockem is trying to break the clinch but Sawyer is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Emsockem is looking to break free of the clinch but Sawyer has double underhooks.
Sawyer tries to pull guard but Emsockem won't allow it.

Emsockem fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sawyer, pushing him back against the cage.

Emsockem lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Sawyer wants to get back to his feet but Emsockem passes into half guard.

Sawyer can't keep his opponent in guard - Emsockem advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Emsockem seems to be working for a kimura but Sawyer defends the submission attempt.
Sawyer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Emsockem passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Sawyer!
Sawyer is desperately trying to improve his position but Emsockem has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Emsockem looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sawyer is fending him off so far but Emsockem persists. Nope, Sawyer circles away and we're back to standing.

Sawyer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Emsockem walks away with a smile on his face. Sawyer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Emsockem throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sawyer's waist but Sawyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Emsockem off to one side.

Sawyer slaps away a takedown attempt from Emsockem, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rock Emsockem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emsockem is breathing heavily.
Sawyer shoots in looking for a takedown. Emsockem tries to sprawl out of it but Sawyer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Emsockem manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Emsockem is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sawyer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Emsockem decides to stand back up. Emsockem steps back and let's Sawyer get back to his feet.

Sawyer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Emsockem on the ground.

Emsockem kicks Sawyer off and gets to his feet.
Emsockem misses with a head kick.
Emsockem defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sawyer.
Sawyer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Emsockem manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sawyer feints and as Emsockem raises his hands in defense, Sawyer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Emsockem wants to sweep but no luck.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Emsockem escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sawyer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Emsockem has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rock Emsockem showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Sawyer dodges the punch combination from Emsockem.
Jeffery Sawyer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Emsockem shoots in but no luck this time.
Sawyer's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Emsockem connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sawyer scrambles back to his feet.

Let's hope that Emsockem has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Sawyer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Emsockem is one step ahead there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Emsockem pushes down on Sawyer's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Emsockem is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sawyer is just riding it out for now. Emsockem eventually gives up the hold.
