Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarmo Ek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eric Cartman looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ek fails in his attempt to clinch.

Ek shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ek showed some decent athleticism there.
Cartman is trying to maintain the position but Ek is very close to passing his half guard.
Ek seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Ek seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Cartman is holding on tight.

Ek has control of Cartman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cartman regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cartman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ek is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.

and Ek counters with a single leg into guard. Cartman didn't expect that.

Cartman had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ek is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cartman Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ek's back instead.
Ek tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Ek tries to lock up and control but Cartman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
