The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mitchell gets caught flat footed, as Cobb shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Mitchell is working an open guard so Cobb takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Mitchell scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Cobb is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mitchell connects with a decent elbow.

Mitchell swings around for an armbar but Cobb sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mitchell's guard.
Mitchell wants to get back to his feet but Cobb is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cobb throwing strikes but missing.
Cobb throws a strike but Mitchell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mitchell's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Mitchell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mitchell postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Cobb's head off the mat! Cobb is out! He's out! Mitchell jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
