Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tom Araya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rusty Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Araya's entrance music is Angel of Death. A fine choice. Rusty Torres has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Araya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rusty Torres!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araya connects with the punch.
Torres tries to clinch there but Araya circles away.
Araya connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Torres throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Araya's waist but Araya gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Torres off to one side.

Torres feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Araya is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Araya manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Araya wants to lay and pray for a moment but Torres keeps working.
Torres is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Araya not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Torres wants to improve his position but Araya is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Araya gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Tom Araya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Araya misses with a few strikes there.
Nice takedown defense from Araya. No joy for Torres on that attempt.
Torres takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Araya really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Torres tries for a takedown but Araya sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tom Araya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rusty Torres.
The fighters circle momentarily. Araya darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Araya, right into the meat.
Araya dips to his left and cracks Torres with an uppercut!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Araya throws a series of punches but Torres avoids them all with ease.
Araya lands with a hook. Torres tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Araya throws a right and a left that Torres avoids nicely.

Araya goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Torres is rocked!
Araya cracks a nice hook into Torres's ribs.
Torres is still on wobbly legs! Can Araya finish him?
Torres tries to clinch up but Araya circles away and keeps his distance.
Torres seems to have recovered his senses.
Araya scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Araya lands a jab.
Araya throws a half hearted mid kick.
Torres gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Araya.
Araya scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Rusty Torres has been cut.
Torres seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Araya shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Torres is backing up but Araya catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Torres covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Araya Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Araya!
