Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Hackenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otavio Ikuhisa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hackenberg kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cum On Feel The Noize. Otavio Ikuhisa will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Otavio Ikuhisa!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ikuhisa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ikuhisa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hackenberg looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hackenberg loads up on a big right hand but Ikuhisa slips the punch.
Ikuhisa wants to counter the offense by Hackenberg and move into the clinch position.
Hackenberg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ikuhisa circles away quickly and effectively.
Hackenberg throws a body punch but Ikuhisa moves out of range.
Ikuhisa wants to counter with a clinch but Hackenberg pushes him away.
Hackenberg looks to land a right hand but Ikuhisa moved out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hackenberg tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ikuhisa was well out of range. Poor timing from Hackenberg.
Ikuhisa steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Hackenberg.
Hackenberg lands a nice hook to Ikuhisa's body. Ikuhisa takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hackenberg misses with a wild combination.
Ray Hackenberg is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hackenberg throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ikuhisa.
Ikuhisa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hackenberg misses with a looping right.
Ikuhisa wants to counter the offense by Hackenberg and move into the clinch position.
Hackenberg lands with a good body shot.
Hackenberg throws a lazy uppercut

and Ikuhisa counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hackenberg lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Hackenberg can't find room to land a body shot as Ikuhisa controls the action.

Ikuhisa is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hackenberg gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Hackenberg lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ikuhisa backwards.


Ikuhisa is rocked!
Hackenberg lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Ikuhisa is still on wobbly legs! Can Hackenberg finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hackenberg throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ikuhisas head.
Hackenberg lands a hook that snaps the head of Ikuhisa backwards.

Ikuhisa has picked Hackenberg up - he's going for a ride! Ikuhisa dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Hackenberg kicks Ikuhisa off and gets back to his feet.
Good standup being displayed there by Hackenberg as he connects with a hook.
Hackenberg scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ikuhisa doesn't seem bothered though.
Hackenberg getting the better of the striking in that exchange.


It looks like Otavio Ikuhisa has been cut.

Hackenberg scores with a hook to the body. Ikuhisa takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ikuhisa slips under a jab from Hackenberg.
Ikuhisa tries to counter by closing the distance.
Ikuhisa avoids the body shot from Hackenberg.
Ikuhisa on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Ikuhisa seems to have recovered his senses.
Ikuhisa moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Hackenberg lands a big right hand that sends Ikuhisa crashing to the mat! Hackenberg stays standing though and waves Ikuhisa back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hackenberg grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Ikuhisa takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Hackenberg cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ray Hackenberg!
An out of breath Ray Hackenberg thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
