Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jc Mcconnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Bianchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobby Bianchi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jc Mcconnell's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcconnell swinging wildly here.
Bianchi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mcconnell is fending him off so far but Bianchi persists. Nope, Mcconnell circles away and we're back to standing.
Mcconnell tries to counter by clinching up but Bianchi breaks away and moves out of range.
Mcconnell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mcconnell checks a leg kick nicely.
Bianchi moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Jc Mcconnell has been cut.
Bianchi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mcconnell circles away quickly and effectively.
Bianchi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mcconnell.
Bianchi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mcconnell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcconnell is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bianchi's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Bianchi is keen to just control but Mcconnell is a slippery customer.
Mcconnell is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bianchi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bianchi's back!

Mcconnell could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bianchi is in a bad position with Mcconnell working for a choke. Bianchi manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Bianchi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mcconnell is proving hard to escape from.
Bianchi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mcconnell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A close round but Bobby Bianchi will probably get the nod.

Bianchi drops Mcconnell with a beautiful combination! Mcconnell stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bianchi is looking for the KO!

Bianchi lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Mcconnell out cold! Mcconnell is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

After the fight, Bobby Bianchi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
