Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Olaf Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Axelsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Olaf Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johan Axelsson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axelsson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Johan Axelsson has been cut.
Frost tries a head kick but it misses.
And Axelsson tries to counter it with a takedown but Frost pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Axelsson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Frost did well to prevent Axelsson getting side control.
Axelsson wants to control but Frost is keeping him busy.
Axelsson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Frost desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Frost is refusing to be controlled, as Axelsson sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frost tries to get to full guard but Axelsson has control of the leg.
Axelsson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frost keeps working.

Frost swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Axelsson throws a jab when Frost was well out of range.
Frost throws a counter high kick but Axelsson was just alert enough to avoid it.
Frost scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Frost lands a nice looking body shot.
Axelsson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Frost sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Axelsson somewhat.
A counter left hand to the body from Frost misses its target.
Frost stuffs the takedown attempt from Axelsson. Axelsson gets slowly back to his feet.
Frost throws a big counter combination but Axelsson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Axelsson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Frost sprawls well. Frost wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Axelsson gets slowly back to his feet.
Olaf Frost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johan Axelsson.

Axelsson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Axelsson lands in his opponent's guard.
Frost is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Frost keeping moving, preventing Axelsson from controlling successfully.
Frost is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Axelsson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Axelsson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Frost is looking to escape.

Frost wants to control his opponent's hands but Axelsson gets his hands free.

Axelsson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Frost has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Axelsson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Frost has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Frost can't escape the position.

Axelsson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Axelsson is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Frost is defending well though. Axelsson let's go of the attempt for now.

Frost manages to reverse the position and now he's in Axelsson's guard. Nice work there by Frost.

Axelsson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Frost as he jumps to the side.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Axelsson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Frost - the referee stops the clock and Axelsson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Frost. Axelsson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Frost stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Frost wants it to stay on the feet.
Axelsson lands a body shot.
Frost throws a series of punches but Axelsson avoids them all with ease.
Frost throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Axelsson's head.
Olaf Frost is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Frost fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Axelsson manages to avoid it.
Frost digs a good body shot into Axelsson's ribs.
Axelsson looks to land a combination but Frost avoids it well.
Axelsson shoots in for a takedown but Frost shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Frost is looking to wear down Axelsson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Axelsson tries to bum rush Frost with a series of wild strikes but Frost uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Frost throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Axelsson.

and Axelsson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Axelsson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Frost is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Olaf Frost decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
