Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wilbur Cooley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Jeffries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilbur Cooley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alan Jeffries!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooley takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cooley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jeffries rushes Cooley and presses him up against the cage.
Jeffries is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Jeffries is trying to break the clinch but Cooley is controlling him.
Cooley wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jeffries has him pressed against the cage.
Jeffries is pushing Cooley up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jeffries is looking to break free of the clinch but Cooley has double underhooks.

Cooley is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Jeffries wants a takedown but no success here.

Jeffries keeps control of Cooley as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Cooley prevents Jeffries from breaking the clinch.
Jeffries tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Jeffries tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jeffries tries to pull guard but Cooley forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Jeffries tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cooley smiles and moves away.
Cooley wants to clinch but Jeffries slips to the side
and Jeffries counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cooley moves in looking to clinch but Jeffries pushes him off.
Jeffries shoots for a double leg takedown but Cooley sprawls well. He's pushed Jeffries's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jeffries circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jeffries avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jeffries gets tackled into the cage by Cooley. Cooley maintains the clinch.
Jeffries is trying to break free.
Stalling in the clinch from Cooley.
Jeffries holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Jeffries jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cooley walks away with a smile on his face. Jeffries gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Cooley rushes Jeffries and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alan Jeffries dominated that round.
That's time! Cooley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jeffries changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cooley tries to avoid it but Jeffries manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cooley to the ground. Cooley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jeffries moves into the clinch.
Cooley is trying to break the clinch but Jeffries has him pressed against the cage.

Cooley breaks from the clinch.

Cooley clinches.

Jeffries pulls Cooley into guard.
Cooley is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Cooley wants to stand and escape but instead Jeffries has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Cooley is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jeffries has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Cooley tries to clinch but Jeffries is having none of it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cooley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jeffries has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cooley after a bit of a struggle.

Jeffries jumps guard but Cooley stands there with Jeffries around his waist. Jeffries gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The referee is keeping an eye on Cooley - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Cooley wants to clinch but Jeffries slips to the side
and Jeffries counters with a series of strikes. Cooley will be more careful next time no doubt.

Cooley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jeffries looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Cooley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jeffries throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cooley's waist but Cooley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jeffries off to one side.

Cooley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jeffries manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jeffries pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cooley is out of range and Jeffries settles back down.

Jeffries throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Jeffries closes the distance and pushes Cooley back into the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Alan Jeffries comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jeffries has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
