PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Imbecile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fim Vrinzwal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fim Vrinzwal struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Fim Vrinzwal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fim Vrinzwal!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Imbecile shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vrinzwal as he avoids it easily.
Vrinzwal only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Vrinzwal throws a nice looking combination but Imbecile bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Imbecile tries to counter with a takedown but Vrinzwal is quick to defend against it.

Vrinzwal gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Imbecile to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Imbecile has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Imbecile misses with a straight left.

Imbecile closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vrinzwal quickly recovers to half guard.

Imbecile slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Joe Imbecile overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Imbecile has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Vrinzwal wants to stand up but Imbecile is controlling him.
Imbecile might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Imbecile is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Vrinzwal can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
