The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Southern looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mcfarland gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Southern's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Mcfarland tries to break the clinch but Southern is controlling the position.
Mcfarland's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mcfarland throws a right and a left that Southern avoids nicely.
Southern misses with a head kick.
Southern closes the distance and clinches.
Southern escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
