Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Potter!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Mann!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann connects with a right hand. Potter shakes it off.
Mann pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Potter fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Potter throws a body punch but Mann moves out of range.
Potter throws a body shot but no joy.
Potter digs a good body shot into Mann's ribs.
Potter avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Potter appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Mann keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Potter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mann.
Potter is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Mann has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Potter throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Mann counter with a right hand.
Potter loads up on a big right hand but Mann slips the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Potter cracks Mann with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Potter fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mann on the side of the head.
Mann lands a nice hook to Potter's body. Potter takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Potter swings away with a body shot that misses
and Mann counters with a stiff right hand.
Potter misses with a left hand
and Mann counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mann connects with a body shot that sends Potter's belly button to the back.
Potter is breathing heavily.
Mann scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fighters circling - Mann throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mann just misses with a punch to the body.
Mann looks to throw the jab but Potter is out of range.
Mann cracks Potter with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Potter looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Mann finish him?
Potter is rocked!
It looks like Jack Potter has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mann weaves into range and cracks Potter right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Potter goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Mann is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mountain Mann!
Mountain Mann is the new heavyweight champion!
In his post fight interview, Mountain Mann started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
