PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robin Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernie Harpsicord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bernie Harpsicord told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harpsicord lands a slapping body shot.
Harpsicord dives in and grabs Tyson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tyson pushes down on Harpsicord's head and hops out.

Harpsicord is trying to maintain the position but Tyson is very close to passing his half guard.
Tyson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Harpsicord shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tyson as he jumps to the side.

Tyson goes for a double leg but Harpsicord avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Harpsicord continues to drive forward.

Tyson is looking for a triangle but Harpsicord pushes his legs off easily.

Harpsicord has gone for a leg lock! Tyson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Harpsicord's guard.

Harpsicord tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tyson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Tyson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Harpsicord dives on top into guard.

Harpsicord looking to sit in guard and control but Tyson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Harpsicord had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tyson defends it easily.

Tyson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Horrible takedown attempt by Harpsicord or perhaps it was just good defense by Tyson, which made it look bad.

That was a close second round but I would say that Robin Tyson will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Tyson drops back looking for a leg! Harpsicord is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harpsicord manages to kick Tyson off! Tyson jumps back into Harpsicord's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tyson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
