Belfort has a takedown stuffed.

I was talking to Jay Ray's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jay Ray prevents the takedown attempt.
Jay Ray comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Belfort wants a takedown but no success here.
Ray Jay Ray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Belfort.

Belfort blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Belfort drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jay Ray gets the underhooks and prevents it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jay Ray lands a shoulder strike.
Belfort has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jay Ray after a bit of a struggle.
Belfort tries to score a body lock takedown but Jay Ray shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Belfort gets control of Jay Ray's arms and successfully pulls guard. Belfort will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Belfort doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jay Ray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Belfort on the ground.

Belfort is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jay Ray has his hands clasped together but Belfort extends and breaks Jay Ray's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Belfort.
