Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Veli Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Sandusky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary Sandusky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 75 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Veli Schwarzeneg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Sandusky!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sandusky is defended easily by Schwarzeneg.
Veli Schwarzeneg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sandusky fails with a takedown attempt.
Schwarzeneg is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Sandusky.
Schwarzeneg shoots in for a takedown but Sandusky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sandusky looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sandusky throws a sloppy head kick and Schwarzeneg moves out of range easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sandusky is staying active underneath Schwarzeneg, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Schwarzeneg tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sandusky tries to clinch up but Schwarzeneg circles away and keeps his distance.
Schwarzeneg was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Schwarzeneg fails with the takedown

and Sandusky counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Schwarzeneg!
Schwarzeneg pushes Sandusky away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sandusky gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sandusky wants to control from the top but Schwarzeneg keeps moving.

Schwarzeneg has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sandusky can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

I would just about give that final round to Gary Sandusky.
I think Sandusky has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
