Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fausto Herring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toro Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Fausto Herring has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Fausto Herring seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Herring throws a left and a right that both miss
and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva.
Herring is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Silva dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Herring knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Herring struggling a bit here.
Herring tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Herring is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Silva has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Silva wants to control but Herring is keeping him busy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Herring knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Herring gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Herring is trying to control but can't.
Herring wants to get back to full guard.

Still in half guard, Silva seems content to control.
Herring is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!

Even with his hooks in, Herring manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Herring is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Silva has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Herring stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Silva throws up his legs and catches Herring in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Herring tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Silva! That came out of nowhere!
