Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nue Killie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barker Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nue Killie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Barker Woods!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods shoots for a double leg takedown but Killie sprawls well. He's pushed Woods's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Killie is looking for a counter combo.
Killie scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Woods doesn't seem bothered though.
Killie chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Woods shoots for a double leg takedown but Killie sprawls well. He's pushed Woods's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Woods closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Killie did well to prevent Woods getting side control.
Killie moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Killie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Killie has his hands on Woods's head, controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Woods on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Killie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Killie has managed to clinch.
Woods misses with a punch to the body.

Killie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Killie has managed to clinch.
Woods jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Killie walks away with a smile on his face. Woods gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nue Killie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barker Woods.
Killie throws a body shot but no joy.
Woods is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Woods tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Killie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Woods fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Killie leaves Woods with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Woods looks winded!

Killie rushes Woods and presses him up against the cage.
Killie is working for takedown but Woods is calmly controlling the position for now.

Killie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Killie feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Woods's calf.
Killie misses with a takedown

and Woods holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Woods tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Killie breaks from the clinch.
No joy there for Killie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Killie fails with the takedown.
Woods wants to clinch
and Killie counters with an outside leg kick.
Killie tries to clinch up but Woods circles away and keeps his distance.
Woods wants to counter the offense by Killie and move into the clinch position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Woods shoots for a takedown but Killie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Killie tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Woods manages to circle out of the way.
Killie dives in and grabs Woods's left leg, looking for a takedown. Woods pushes down on Killie's head and hops out.
Woods tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Killie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Woods gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Killie counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Woods takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Killie instigates a clinch.
Woods drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Killie gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Killie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nue Killie dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Woods takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Barker Woods has been cut.
Killie avoids a punch combination nicely.
Killie half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Woods takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Killie thuds his shin into the meat of Woods's side.
Killie darts in looking for a takedown but Woods gets double underhooks and turns Killie into the cage.
Woods feints the counter takedown.
Killie defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Woods.
Killie is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Woods can do to turn this around?

Killie shoots in for a double leg but Woods sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Woods holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Killie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Woods has managed to clinch.
Killie is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Killie is trying to push Woods away but Woods has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Woods changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Killie fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nue Killie is winning the standup battle so far.

Killie rushes Woods and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Killie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Woods misses with a low kick.
Killie throws a big counter combination but Woods scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Woods shoots in looking for a takedown. Killie tries to sprawl out of it but Woods keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Killie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A thudding body kick lands there by Killie!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Killie lands with a kick to the temple. Woods shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Killie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Woods shoots in and drives through. Killie sprawls well.
Woods looks to clinch
and Killie counters with a left and a right that stings Woods.
Woods goes for a double leg but Killie avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Killie continues to drive forward.
Killie shoots for a takedown but Woods saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Woods lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Woods tries to clinch up but Killie circles away and keeps his distance.
Killie fails with the takedown.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Killie.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nue Killie dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Barker Woods's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Killie is pressed up against the cage. Woods has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Killie down to the mat. Killie avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Killie throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Killie closes the distance and clinches up with Woods, looking for a takedown. Killie pushes Woods against the cage but Woods circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Woods drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Killie defends it well.

Killie shoots in and drives through. Woods sprawls well.
Killie tries to clinch but Woods moves out of range.
Woods tries to clinch up but Killie circles away and keeps his distance.
Killie fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Killie clinches up with Woods and pushes him back against the cage.
Woods tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Killie successfully pulls guard.
Woods trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Woods loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Woods wanted to stand there but Killie had control of the position.

Killie will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Killie wants to sweep here but Woods controlling him for the moment.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Killie is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Woods gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Killie.

Woods decides to pull guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nue Killie showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Killie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
