Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Woima Karhu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob McLovin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karhu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is House of Pain - Jump Around. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Woima Karhu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Bob McLovin!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karhu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McLovin moves away.
Karhu connects with a body shot.
McLovin avoids a punch combination nicely.
A little jabbing left from McLovin on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Karhu shoots in for a takedown but McLovin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Karhu throws a body punch but McLovin moves out of range.
Karhu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Karhu misses the shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Karhu gets the takedown into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action here.

Karhu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McLovin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

McLovin tries to get to full guard but Karhu has control of the leg.

McLovin is trying to maintain the position but Karhu is very close to passing his half guard.

Karhu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McLovin defends it well.
McLovin is looking for a sweep. Karhu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Karhu is figuring out what he wants to do next.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Karhu is trying to control. McLovin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Karhu, right into the meat.
Karhu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Woima Karhu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McLovin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McLovin wants it to stay on the feet.
McLovin throws out a counter right but Karhu avoids it with no problem.

McLovin looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
McLovin throws out a loose jab but Karhu uses good head movement to avoid it.
McLovin slaps away a takedown attempt from Karhu, before circling back to the center of the mat.
McLovin throws a counter combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Woima Karhu dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and McLovin counters with a left and a right that stings Karhu.

and McLovin counters with a nice uppercut.


It looks like Woima Karhu has been cut.
An inside leg kick from Karhu misses.
Bob McLovin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Karhu digs a good body shot into McLovin's ribs.
Karhu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McLovin's waist but McLovin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Karhu off to one side.
McLovin stuffs the takedown.

Karhu dives in and grabs McLovin's left leg, looking for a takedown. McLovin pushes down on Karhu's head and hops out.
Karhu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McLovin's waist but McLovin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Karhu off to one side.
Karhu takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Karhu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Karhu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Karhu shoots and misses
and McLovin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Karhu lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McLovin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McLovin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
McLovin is looking for the big counter here.
McLovin stuffs the takedown.
A nice side step and McLovin releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
McLovin slips under a jab from Karhu.
McLovin is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Karhu misses with an uppercut.
Karhu fails with a takedown attempt.
It seemed like McLovin was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Karhu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McLovin was well out of range. Poor timing from Karhu.
McLovin is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Karhu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Woima Karhu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Karhu is defended easily by McLovin.
As Karhu backs off McLovin throws a huge counter combo but Karhu manages to avoid it all.

Karhu scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Nice jab there from Karhu.
A combination from McLovin does no damage.
Karhu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McLovin counters with a head kick. That will keep Karhu thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Karhu throws a wild body kick that McLovin sees coming a mile off.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from McLovin! But no joy.
Karhu misses with a takedown attempt
and McLovin counters with a two punch combo.


Karhu is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Karhu throws a right hand that misses
and McLovin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Oh Karhu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McLovin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McLovin is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Karhu seems to have got his legs back now.

McLovin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Karhu throws a body shot but no joy.
A little jabbing left from McLovin on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Karhu thows a leg kick but McLovin checks it

and McLovin counters with a crisp one two that drops Karhu! McLovin thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Karhu to his feet! Karhu is in big trouble!

and McLovin counters with a big right hand! Oh Karhu is in trouble here! McLovin follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bob McLovin!
Bob McLovin bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
