Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Goto misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fertitta.
Fertitta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Goto.
Fertitta keeps the fight on the outside.
Goto throws a hook to the side of Fertitta's head but Fertitta sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Goto throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fertitta sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Goto throws a right and a left that both miss.
Goto misses with a wild body shot.
Daigo Goto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goto lands with a shot to the body.
Goto fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Goto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fertitta as he avoids it easily.

Goto avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Goto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fertitta swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fertitta manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Goto manages to get himself to full guard.

Goto is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fertitta stands and throws Goto's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Goto is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fertitta's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Goto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That was a close round but I would say that Daigo Goto will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Goto closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Goto lands in his opponent's guard.
Fertitta wants to sweep here but Goto controlling him for the moment.

Goto will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Goto takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Fertitta works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Fertitta cracks Goto with a big right hand but Goto just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Fertitta tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Goto is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Goto is trying to control Fertitta's posture but Fertitta avoids it.
Fertitta has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fertitta has an Americana. Goto didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Fertitta is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Fertitta hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
