Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Prathamesh Randhawa and Chad Masters. Randhawa comes to the cage accompanied by Dhoom Taana. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Prathamesh Randhawa! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Chad Masters!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Randhawa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Masters manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Masters has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Randhawa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Masters looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Randhawa passes into half guard.
Masters is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Masters won't allow Randhawa to pass to mount.

Masters is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Randhawa pulls his head out easily.

Masters is desperately trying to improve his position but Randhawa has a good base and remains in mount.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Randhawa has hold of Masters's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Masters manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Masters is desperately trying to improve his position but Randhawa has a good base and remains in mount.

Masters sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Masters is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Randhawa pulls his head out easily.
Randhawa is pressing down on Masters's thigh, looking to free his foot. Masters is holding on for now.

Randhawa wants to work for an arm triangle but Masters is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Masters is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Randhawa gets his way!
You can see the frustration on Masters's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
