Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Szandor Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Storm might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pantera - 5 Minutes Alone. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Szandor Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan Ford!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm throws a series of punches but Ford avoids them all with ease.

We've been hearing reports that Storm has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Ford throws out a counter right but Storm avoids it with no problem.
Storm closes the distance looking to clinch
and Ford counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Storm has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ford finds it's way round the side to connect with Storm's head.
Storm throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ford counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Storm throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Storm is breathing heavily.
Nice straight punches there by Ford. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ford.

and Ford counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ford manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Storm wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ford comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Ford lands a body punch in the clinch.
Ford creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Storm's defenses.
Ford has Storm pressed against the cage, preventing Storm from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Storm doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Storm breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Storm pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Storm misses with a hook to the body
and Ford counters with a nice body shot.

Ford lands a left and a right that send Storm crashing to the mat, dazed. Ford thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Storm throws a combination that misses
and Ford cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


Storm is rocked!
Ford shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Storm takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Ford sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Storm bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alan Ford!
In his post fight interview, Alan Ford started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
