Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chad Decker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Buckle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Buckle has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chad Decker's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chad Decker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Buckle!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Buckle closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Decker quickly recovers to half guard.
Decker makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Decker.
Buckle tries to free his leg and advance position but Decker is retaining full guard.
Buckle slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Buckle stops Decker from standing up.

Decker looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Buckle lands a couple of digs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Buckle stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Buckle closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Decker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Decker wants to control but Buckle is keeping busy.

Buckle is nestled in close to Decker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Buckle is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Decker wants to improve his position but Buckle is controlling well.

Decker kicks Buckle off and gets back to his feet.
John Buckle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chad Decker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Buckle.
Decker misses with a takedown attempt - Buckle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Buckle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Decker was well out of range. Poor timing from Buckle.
Decker seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Decker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Buckle, who protects the arm well.
Buckle trying his best to control but Decker has mounted him.
Buckle tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chad Decker will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Decker has Buckle up against the cage in a clinch.
Buckle drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Decker gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Decker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Buckle walks away with a smile on his face. Decker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Decker manages to get back to half guard.

Decker moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buckle wants to control from the top but Decker keeps moving.

Buckle stands up and waves to Decker to follow him.
Buckle is breathing heavily.

Buckle wants to clinch.
Buckle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Decker as he jumps to the side.
Decker thinks about countering with a head kick.
Buckle stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Buckle wants it to stay on the feet.
Buckle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chad Decker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Buckle moves into the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Decker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Buckle is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Buckle tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Decker jumps guard but Buckle turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Buckle lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Buckle has clasped his hands together around Decker's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Decker is trying to stand up here but Buckle is controlling him well.
Decker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Buckle is keen to just control but Decker is a slippery customer.
Decker is trying to control but can't.

Decker has one foot on Buckle's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Buckle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Decker counters with a big head kick but Buckle shrugs it off.
Buckle throws a head kick that misses.
Chad Decker is winning the standup battle so far.

Decker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Decker showed some decent athleticism there.
Buckle wants to get back to full guard.
Chad Decker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Buckle is trying to maintain the position but Decker is very close to passing his half guard.
Buckle strikes from the bottom but Decker passes into mount!
Buckle is looking to improve his position but Decker isn't that keen on the idea.

Buckle manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Decker keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Buckle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Decker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Buckle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Decker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Buckle wants to clinch up but Decker keeps it at a distance.

Buckle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Decker is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Buckle dives into side control.
Decker manages to work his way to half guard, despite Buckle's best efforts.

Buckle shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Buckle was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Decker is looking for a sweep.
Decker is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Buckle stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Buckle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Decker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Buckle did well to prevent Decker getting side control.

Buckle manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Decker keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Buckle works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Decker has his feet on Buckle's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

and Decker counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Buckle is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Buckle is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Decker's half guard.
Decker wants to stand back up but Buckle manages to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Buckle is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Buckle throws strikes from the bottom but it's allowed Decker to grab hold of an arm and go for an armbar! It's tiiiiiiiiight! Buckle is forced to tap! This fight is all over!
