Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brant Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mick Taylor has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Brant Gray's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taylor fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gray to the ground. Taylor is now in Gray's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Taylor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Taylor is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Gray has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taylor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taylor is stalling in the full guard.
Taylor wants to stand but Gray has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Taylor slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gray looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gray moves out of range as Taylor throws a body kick.
It looked like Gray wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Taylor has eaten all the pies!
Gray shoots and misses
and Taylor counters with a nice body shot.

Taylor shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gray is trying to defend but Taylor finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Taylor perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Still in half guard, Taylor seems content to control.
Taylor passes the guard and advances to mount!
Gray takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Taylor is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gray can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Taylor stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Taylor throws a series of punches but Gray moves out of range.
Gray doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Taylor counters with a crisp one two that drops Gray! Taylor thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gray to his feet! Gray is in big trouble!

Gray is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brant Gray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gray is breathing heavily.
Taylor goes for a small jab and connects. Now Taylor goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Gray stumbles back but Taylor runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Gray to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Gray will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
