The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

chezwik is just content to waste time from the top position. Burns takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Burns throws his legs up looking for a submission but chezwik uses it to pass to side control.

chezwik wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burns keeps working.

Burns is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, chezwik asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

chezwik changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burns tries to avoid it but chezwik manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burns to the ground. Burns escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
