The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richards shoots in and bounces Drakov off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Drakov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Richards lands a decent elbow from side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Drakov is looking to improve his position but Richards isn't that keen on the idea.
Richards postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Drakov looks a forlorn figure.

The referee warns Drakov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Drakov takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Richards's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
