Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raato Karpanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lord Pansar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raato Karpanen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raato Karpanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lord Pansar!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karpanen gets the takedown into side control.
Karpanen looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Pansar tries to escape but Karpanen is in control.
Karpanen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pansar keeps working.
Pansar tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Karpanen tries to move to mount but Pansar blocks the move with his legs.
Pansar is trying to get back to half guard.

Pansar is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pansar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Karpanen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pansar misses with a takedown

and Karpanen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Pansar tries to kick Karpanen off but Karpanen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Karpanen is working for a submission of some sort.

Karpanen is looking to stall here but Pansar recovers full guard.
Karpanen works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Pansar kicks Karpanen off and gets back to his feet.

Karpanen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pansar, pushing him back against the cage.

Karpanen jumps into guard, dragging Pansar to the mat.

Karpanen is looking for a triangle but Pansar pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pansar postures up.
Pansar stopping the sweep attempt from Karpanen.
Karpanen manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Pansar is trying to stand up.
Karpanen controlling from mount.
Pansar is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Pansar tries to land a leg kick but Karpanen saw it coming and moves away.

Pansar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Karpanen as he avoids it easily.
Karpanen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Pansar lands with a shot to the body.
Pansar wants to clinch but Karpanen slips to the side
and Karpanen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Pansar lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Pansar wants to break free but Karpanen has control.
Pansar has had enough of the clinch but Karpanen keeps him there for the moment.
Karpanen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pansar has him pressed against the cage.
Karpanen has Pansar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pansar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Karpanen wants to sweep here but Pansar controlling him for the moment.
Pansar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Pansar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Pansar stands up and waves to Karpanen to follow him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Pansar has closed the distance and engaged Karpanen in a clinch.
Pansar lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Pansar misses with a knee strike.
Pansar trying to land knees to the body.
Pansar misses with an elbow strike.

Pansar breaks the clinch.
Pansar lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Karpanen backs up against the cage.
Karpanen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pansar can pounce on him.
Karpanen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pansar tries to clinch up.
Pansar is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pansar is looking to clinch but Karpanen is avoiding it.
Pansar wants to clinch up but Karpanen keeps it at a distance.

Karpanen tries to keep at a distance but Pansar has taken the fight into the clinch.
Pansar lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Lord Pansar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Pansar darts in and clinches Karpanen up against the cage.
Karpanen avoids the elbow strike from Pansar, against the cage.
Pansar crunches a lovely knee into Karpanen's ribcage.

Pansar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pansar misses with a wild body shot.
Pansar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Pansar clinches up with Karpanen and pushes him back against the cage.

Karpanen lands a takedown into guard.
Karpanen trying to control but Pansar is working from the bottom.

Pansar pushes Karpanen off and scrambles back to his feet.

Pansar prevents Karpanen from improving position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pansar is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Karpanen decides to stand back up.
Pansar scores with a nice strike.

Pansar buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Karpanen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Karpanen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Pansar looks like he's trying to stand up.

Pansar pushes Karpanen off looking to stand but Karpanen dives back in and keeps control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Karpanen tries to clinch but Pansar is having none of it.
Karpanen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Karpanen tries to pass to full mount but Pansar defends it.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Lord Pansar.
I think Pansar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
