The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Carballo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Carballo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mercy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carballo sprawls well. Carballo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mercy gets slowly back to his feet.
Mercy tries to sprawl but Carballo drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Mercy wants to control but Carballo is keeping busy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carballo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Carballo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Carballo is working to tighten his grip on Mercy 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mercy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Carballo is really squeezing tight and eventually Mercy passes out! Carballo breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
