Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kumaran pushes Welsh up against the cage in a clinch.
Welsh tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kumaran just stands there and leans against the cage.
Welsh tries for a takedown. No joy.
Welsh wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Welsh misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kumaran.
Kumaran lands a damaging elbow.

Welsh tries to break free but Kumaran pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Kumaran.
Welsh jumps guard but Kumaran turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Pranav Kumaran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Welsh.
Welsh tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kumaran smiles and moves away.
Kumaran lands with a kick to the temple. Welsh shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

That's one minute gone in the round.
Welsh shoots for a double leg takedown but Kumaran sprawls well. He's pushed Welsh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kumaran throws a big counter combination but Welsh scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Kumaran throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Welsh stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Kumaran follows into mount!
Welsh is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kumaran gets back to his feet - a bit of a stange decision given the position he was in.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Kumaran! This one is all over!
