The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kutuzov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mauck attempts a counter takedown but Kutuzov avoids it well and moves away.
Mauck doesn't manage to clinch there - Kutuzov circles away.

Kutuzov's coach down at Wooten Jiu Jitsu & Boxing was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kutuzov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Kutuzov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mauck as he avoids it easily.

Kutuzov has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Mauck is on him like a limpet, forcing Kutuzov back against the cage.

Mauck has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kutuzov uses from the top position.

Kutuzov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mauck manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kutuzov has Mauck in his guard.

Kutuzov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mauck. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

and Mauck counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kutuzov!
Kutuzov tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Mauck could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kutuzov is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Mauck takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

BOOM! Mauck connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Mauck misses with a takedown attempt - Kutuzov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
No luck for Mauck with that takedown attempt.
Kutuzov throws a head kick that half lands.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Mauck has closed the distance and engaged Kutuzov in a clinch.
Miha Kutuzov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Miha Kutuzov.
