Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lawrence Fairchild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Barras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawrence Fairchild has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lawrence Fairchild!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hector Barras !
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barras shoots in looking for a takedown. Fairchild tries to sprawl out of it but Barras keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fairchild manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fairchild tries to counter by clinching up but Barras breaks away and moves out of range.

Fairchild decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fairchild seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Fairchild will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barras is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fairchild chips away with some ground and pound.

Barras has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fairchild can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fairchild postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Barras escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fairchild gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Barras should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Barras escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fairchild gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Barras is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fairchild is aware though and is defending well.

Barras is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fairchild defends well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fairchild is sitting in close to Barras 's body. Barras has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Fairchild is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Fairchild is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Barras .

A relieved looking Hector Barras thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
