The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cleveland shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Weatherspoon is trying to defend but Cleveland finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Weatherspoon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Weatherspoon gets back to full guard.
Cleveland really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weatherspoon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Weatherspoon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cleveland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cleveland manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Weatherspoon connects with a nice short shot to Cleveland's temple.

Weatherspoon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cleveland with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

It looks like Normand Cleveland has been cut.
Weatherspoon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Cleveland tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Weatherspoon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Cleveland has eaten all the pies!
Weatherspoon cracks Cleveland with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Weatherspoon immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Cleveland is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Weatherspoon!
