Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dom DeNardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chip Chocolate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chocolate comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cookie Dance kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dom DeNardo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chip Chocolate's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom DeNardo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chip Chocolate!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chocolate looking to score a takedown here. DeNardo is defending well but Chocolate drives through and ends up in DeNardo's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chocolate accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
DeNardo trying to control the position here.
Chocolate throwing strikes from guard but DeNardo blocks nicely.
Chocolate must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Chocolate cracks DeNardo with a solid left hand.
DeNardo looking for a sweep. Not yet DeNardo, not yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now DeNardo is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chocolate has his hands on DeNardo's head, controlling the position.
Chocolate is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

DeNardo pushing down on Chocolate's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chocolate wants to control but DeNardo is keeping busy and won't allow it.
DeNardo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Chocolate tries to get to full guard but DeNardo has control of the leg.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Chocolate is looking to control DeNardo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chocolate avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with DeNardo in particular looking to stall.
Chocolate looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Chocolate is looking to improve his position.
Chocolate is holding on to half guard well.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Chocolate is looking to land body kicks.

Chocolate throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. DeNardo was covering up waiting for the punch and Chocolate finishes the takedown easily into guard.
DeNardo keeping moving, preventing Chocolate from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chocolate loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
DeNardo controls Chocolate momentarily but Chocolate frees himself.
Chocolate throws a big elbow that misses.
DeNardo is trying to hold Chocolate in close to prevent damage but Chocolate has managed to pass into half guard.
DeNardo is positioning himself well to prevent Chocolate advancing to mount.

DeNardo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chocolate pulls his head out easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
DeNardo missing with punches from the bottom.
Chocolate missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Chocolate lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Chocolate thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed DeNardo's head.
DeNardo gets back to full guard.
DeNardo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chip Chocolate dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Chocolate blocks a head kick by DeNardo.
Chocolate looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Chocolate closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. DeNardo quickly recovers to half guard.
DeNardo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chocolate.
DeNardo is looking to improve his position.
Chocolate has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
DeNardo keeping hold of Chocolate's head, controlling as best he can.
Chip Chocolate has got the better of the ground game so far.
DeNardo gets full guard.

Chocolate wants to control from the top but DeNardo keeps moving.
DeNardo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

DeNardo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
DeNardo controlling the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Chocolate misses with a wild body shot.
A head kick misses from DeNardo.
Chocolate swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
DeNardo getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Chocolate takes a shot to the body in his stride.

DeNardo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chocolate sprawls well initially but DeNardo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Chocolate is trying to get back to full guard.
Chocolate has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. DeNardo is working away from the top position though.
DeNardo wants to pass the guard but Chocolate is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chocolate is refusing to be controlled, as DeNardo sits in half guard.
Chocolate is pressing down on DeNardo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
DeNardo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
DeNardo trying to control but Chocolate is working from the bottom.
Chocolate seems keen to control DeNardo's posture.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chocolate preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

DeNardo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Chocolate to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Chocolate stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and DeNardo has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Chocolate manages to get his head free but now DeNardo has transitioned to an armbar! Chocolate grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from DeNardo! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dom DeNardo!
Dom DeNardo very nearly forgot to thank Arcticus University: London amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
Chip Chocolate was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm gonna take this loss with a grain of salt, or a grain of sugar, and put it in a cookie, and eat it.'.
