Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hone Huia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philo Beddoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huia comes to the cage accompanied by Poi E - Patea Maori Club. Beddoe has chosen Stranglehold/ Ted Nugent as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huia misses with a wild body shot.
Huia misses with a series of wild punches.
Beddoe takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Beddoe scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Beddoe keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Huia.
Beddoe swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Huia throws a series of punches but Beddoe avoids them all with ease.
Huia swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Huia throws a one two combo.
Huia walks into a stiff left hand from Beddoe.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Huia scores with a jab to the jaw.
Beddoe takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Huia lands a big right hand that sends Beddoe crashing to the mat! Huia stays standing though and waves Beddoe back to his feet!

Beddoe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Huia looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Beddoe is still in real trouble! Can Huia finish him?
Huia wants to control but Beddoe postures up.

Beddoe looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Huia sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Huia is looking for a sweep. Beddoe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Beddoe seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Beddoe lands a nice short elbow.
Beddoe is nestled in close to Huia, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Beddoe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Huia doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Beddoe.
