Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Macarenco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macarenco has chosen Have a Nice Day as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foster closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Macarenco to the mat! Macarenco manages to get full guard.
Foster thows a big elbow that misses.
Foster trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Foster drops back, looking for a kneebar! Macarenco looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Macarenco looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Macarenco!

Foster throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Macarenco gets to mount! Foster was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Foster postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Macarenco is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Foster, into his guard.

Foster looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Foster has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Macarenco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Foster is breathing heavily.

Foster had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Macarenco is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Foster Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Macarenco's back instead.
Foster is trying to stick to Macarenco's back but Macarenco is turning into Foster. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Foster's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Macarenco.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Macarenco drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Macarenco wants to lay and pray for a moment but Foster keeps working.
Foster manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Foster tries to pass to full mount but Macarenco defends it.
Macarenco is looking to control Foster's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Macarenco avoid being mounted?

That was a close round but I would say that Jake Foster will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Macarenco has his opponent's back but Foster is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Macarenco.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Foster accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Macarenco is looking to regain half guard here but Foster keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macarenco manages to work his way to half guard, despite Foster's best efforts.

Foster is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Macarenco to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Macarenco bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Foster's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Foster working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Macarenco doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Macarenco manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well Foster has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
