The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins cracks Packalen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Collins looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Packalen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Packalen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Collins is looking for a sweep. Packalen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Packalen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Collins defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Packalen in particular looking to stall.
Packalen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Packalen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Collins is just riding it out for now. Packalen eventually gives up the hold.
Packalen is looking to stall here but Collins recovers full guard.
Packalen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Collins is looking for a triangle but Packalen pushes his legs off easily.
Collins keeping moving, preventing Packalen from controlling successfully.
Packalen is pushing down on Collins's leg trying to pass to half guard. Collins is fighting to maintain full guard but Packalen has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Packalen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Collins has managed to free his arm - good work.
Packalen wants to control but Collins is keeping him busy.
Packalen passes to side control.

Packalen is working to tighten his grip on Collins's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Collins has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Packalen is really squeezing tight and eventually Collins passes out! Packalen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

A relieved looking Teemu Packalen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
