Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cicero Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jodi Mueller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Cicero Santos has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Cicero Santos seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos stuffs the takedown attempt from Mueller. Mueller gets slowly back to his feet.
Santos thinks about countering with a head kick.

Mueller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Santos is working for takedown but Mueller is calmly controlling the position for now.

Mueller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Santos's guard.

Santos wants to stand but Mueller is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mueller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mueller manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Santos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mueller defends well.

Mueller seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Mueller stands and steps away. Santos gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

It seemed like Mueller was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Santos wants to get up but he can't break Mueller's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mueller ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mueller no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
