Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bernard Efron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nigel Truck!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Hemmingworth and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Truck shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Truck was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Efron manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Truck is controlling Efron's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Truck moves into full guard.
Efron thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Efron trying to control the position from guard on top but Truck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Truck tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Truck keeping moving, preventing Efron from controlling successfully.

Truck is trying to control the position but Efron postures up.
Truck managing to control the position.
Efron will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Efron trying to control but Truck is working from the bottom.
Efron trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Truck can't keep his opponent in guard - Efron advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Truck is looking for a sweep. Efron is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Efron is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Efron lands a nice short elbow.
Efron is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Efron throwing strikes here but Truck is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Efron prevents Truck from getting the reversal.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Truck can do anything to dispel that myth.
Efron with shots to the head and body - Truck looks very uncomfortable down there.
Efron has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Truck is looking to improve his position but Efron isn't that keen on the idea.

Efron lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Truck is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Efron looking to finish Truck with some ground and pound. This is bad for Truck!
Truck tries to improve his position but Efron has taken his back! Efron has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Truck tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Efron pushes Truck away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
