And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strauss takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Strauss looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Padayachee darts in looking for a takedown but Strauss gets double underhooks and turns Padayachee into the cage.
Good work by Padayachee as he checks the leg kick.
Strauss pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Strauss tries to clinch there but Padayachee circles away.
Strauss is looking to clinch.
Strauss throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Strauss attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Padayachee was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Strauss checks the leg kick nicely there.
Padayachee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Strauss sprawls well. Strauss wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Padayachee gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Padayachee throws a leg kick but Strauss sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Padayachee throws a head kick that misses.
Padayachee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Strauss clobbers Padayachee with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wilhelm Strauss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strauss scores with a kick to the midsection.
Strauss looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Strauss closes the distance and clinches.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Strauss creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Strauss tries to work over Padayachee's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Strauss stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Strauss lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Padayachee or not.
Padayachee looks winded!
Still in the clinch, Strauss scores with a nice short uppercut.
Strauss lands a body shot in the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Strauss lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Strauss lands a right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Padayachee misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Strauss escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Strauss connects with a leg kick. Padayachee looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Strauss lands a front kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Strauss thumps Padayachee with a low kick.
Padayachee takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Padayachee is rocked!
Padayachee is aggressively charging in as Strauss backs up avoiding any damage. Strauss tosses out a jab and Padayachee runs right into it face first! Padayachee is out cold! Strauss dropped down on all fours and is barking in Padayachee's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
