PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kingsley Nasir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Boulami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boulami has chosen The Rock - Mustapha Ibrahim as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kingsley Nasir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Omar Boulami!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Boulami.

Nasir moves into the clinch.
Boulami lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Boulami is fighting off a takedown attempt but Nasir is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Boulami to the mat. Boulami regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Nasir wants to pass the guard but Boulami is keeping the position.
Boulami looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nasir is one step ahead there.
Boulami is pulling down on Nasir's head. It's preventing any offense from Nasir, at least for the moment.

Nasir has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Nasir pushes down on Boulami's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Boulami utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Nasir looking to sit in guard and control but Boulami gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Nasir throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Boulami escapes and throws Nasir's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boulami has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Nasir tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Boulami manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Boulami manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Nasir on his heels. He'll look to pass Nasir's guard now, I'm sure.

Omar Boulami comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Boulami has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
