The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
andalou slips a jab and a cross from Brophy.

andalou closes the distance and clinches.
Brophy is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Brophy tries to pull guard but andalou won't allow it.
andalou misses with some punches.
A head punch on the inside from andalou fails to land.

andalou throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Brophys head.

Brophy is trying to drag andalou to the mat but andalou just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

andalou tries to close the distance and clinch but Brophy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

lilian andalou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brophy circles away from the clinch attempt.
andalou tries to clinch up but Brophy circles away and keeps his distance.
andalou fails in his attempt to clinch.
lilian andalou is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Brophy shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
andalou is pressing down on Brophy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
andalou is looking to stand up but Brophy isn't so interested in that idea.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
andalou tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brophy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
andalou moves in looking to clinch but Brophy pushes him off.
andalou doesn't manage to clinch there - Brophy circles away.
andalou tries to clinch up but Brophy circles away and keeps his distance.

and Brophy counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
andalou really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brophy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
andalou misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Brophy works his way into side control.
andalou is trying to get back to half guard.
Brophy is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down andalou's shoulder. That is not cool.
Brophy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down andalou for as long as he can get away with.
andalou is trying to improve his position.

Brophy has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for andalou!

He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. andalou turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Brophy off and cradles andalou's limp body as Brophy celebrates with his corner.
